PCTB text book update on islamic content from books
Minorities affairs department of Punjab human rights requested the government to exclude religious content from all boks including English, Urdu. PCTB update.
This includes hamad, naat sharif and other islamic topics related to the life of the Prophet Peace Be Upon Him which is included in the textbooks of the subjects. These topics may be included in the books of English, Urdu, general knowledge.
Punjab human right department suggested these changes, which has not yet been implemented, as Supreme court of Pakistan has not given any direction in this regards.
A letter issued on April 1, 2021 by the punjab Human Rights department amd Minorities Affairs, in which MD PCTB has also directed to implement same decision which was taken earlier on November 11-2020.
