DAE Holders To BSC Engineering Admission allowed by Supreme court on Open Merit
DAE holder can now get admission in BSC Engineering program as Supreme Court undoes a 2% quota of DAE holders fixed for admission. Now they allowed the DAE degree holders to take admission in the BSC engineering programs on the basis of open merit.
Bench of three-judgesapex court, which is led by Justice Umar Ata Bandial, announced the Verdict of the Pakistan Engineering Council to fix a 2% quota for the students with DAE Degree in admission to the BSc Engineering program if they wish to continue.
Students now to allow admissions to BSc Engineering on open merit and with an open competition between both the FSc and DAE holders,” announced the judgment.
This becomes a level playing field for competition and which also allows the best of the best amongst the FSc and DAE to be admitted to the BSc Engineering Program,” added the judgment.
As per previous practice by Pakistan Engineering Council which has fixed only 2% quotas for the DAE degree holders to get admission in BSc engineering programs.
